I have known Tim since the 3rd grade and we were able to reconnect a few years ago. I truly value and appreciate his friendship, and am one of his biggest fans. His art and his spirit are one in the same – honest, vibrant, and true to himself. If you don’t already know him, now is the perfect time.

Timothy B. is a 23 year old artist and spiritual being who claims the earth by way of Oakland. He is a full time artist, and pays his bills with his passion. His message is simple: Be you, and let me be me.

Although he has been artistic for as long as he can remember, he started to take art seriously after high school.

“After high school, I needed an outlet of expression as well as financial means which led me into pursuing the arts.”

What made him fall in love with art is the impact that it has on people as well as the opportunity to express himself and paint/draw what he’s thinking. He finds his inspiration through everything around him.

“Through relationships, nature, fellow artists I look up to, the people around me, societal problems, politics, etc”

He is also influenced by artists like: Maya Bailey, Vladimir Kush, Khadir Wilson, Tupac, Jay-Z, Bamoozie, and Winter Mil to name a few.

To him, happiness means being more content with the moment. In 2016, he hopes to accomplish self-love.

The Bay represents love and the freedom to express himself. It has allowed him to become more loving and to show more support to other creatives around him.

And now for my favorite part. It’s shoutout time.

“Shoutout to the up and coming artists out here changing the game, and shoutout to YB.”
