This Sunday, Nook and Kranny is bringing you Queen See Queen, an event whose purpose is to celebrate Bay Area Queens, and showcase their art. Whether that be painting, singing, or just being creative beings, we want to give Queens a platform to speak their truth. This event is a free all age event. Check out the beautiful Queens that will be participating in the event, and we hope to see you all on Sunday.

Two Mamacitas Pop-Up Kitchen cooks up Latin American cuisine with love, soul, and sass. Drawing from ancestral cooking wisdom, travels, and a deep love for nourishing food, Chef Perla Yasmeen Meléndez creates each dish with intention and care. From teaching cooking classes, to catering, to popping up all over the East Bay, and as a featured vendor this weekend at Queens See Queens, the Mamacita always feels blessed to nurture people with her food.



A fussy lifestyle brand created by Lorraine “Pejai” Smith. This brand covers the daily struggles of the girl in the middle who is often overlooked. FemmeFuss also offers spiritual insight through the science of Astrology. The mission of FemmeFuss is to educate the urban community on the significance of Astrology by interpretation of birth charts and be a voice to the girl unheard.

This Sunday, she will be doing in person chart readings. If you want a card reading, you can schedule one. She will also be doing full birth chart reading and will be your resource for any questions about astrology and how it pertains to you as an individual.


Henna by T was created by Tarveen Virdee to spread what older generations shared with her. The ancient  artistry of Henna  represents so much of Tarveen’s Identity. as an Indian woman. From the rich cultural history, to creating beautiful art through intricate patterns on others, this is something extremely meaningful to her. Tarveen prides herself not only in being an entrepreneur but an artist and feels blessed to be able to share her talent with others.

Tres Mercedes
Mercedes Martin is a entrepreneur, educator cultural accessory designer, and founder of Tres Mercedes.  Her mission is to use fashion as a tool to bring Ancient African traditions, Reloved Vintage fashion, and New School trends together to make them relevant in today’s world. The soundtrack to her creations are Fela Kuti and Celia Cruz live concert so that should give you all an idea of what to expect.

 Jessica Jones is a visual artist who was born and raised in Oakland, CA. She works predominantly with acrylic on canvas and Marker on Bristol paper. She is also an avid crochet-artist. She has studied at both California College of Arts, in Oakland, as well as Columbia College in Chicago where she majored in Toy Design and Animation. Currently living in Oakland, Jessica is working on a series of paintings as well as an array of “amigurumi” crochet characters. She is excited to showcase her very distinctive work.

 Monica Robledo, also known as ” Moni Mondro”, is a multi media artist who grew up in and is based out the Bay Area. Her influences range from contemporary urban culture, cartoons, & body imagery both literally & figuratively.

She views life as being about creation. She is a female which therefore means that she was born to create. She has always been introverted but loves to be a leader and voice he opinions. This is why art is the perfect way of expression without having to be vocal. She aspires to inspire.

Black Nectar Alchemy is the love child of Anisah Abdullah. As a dancer, writer, and Earth healer she has come to understand that daily tools for grounding and transcendence are vital for maintaining the true self; the nectar of higher being. The crystals, stones, plant life, and ocean bones are combined for the healing wisdom of the ancestors and the nurturing of the light body that is present in all beings. All amulets and tools are sustainably derived and handmade from Earth source, for cosmic healing.
