There is no doubt that “A seat at The Table” was hands down the best studio album of 2016. With features with acts like; Lil Wayne, BJ the Chicago kid, Sampha, and Master P, a seat at the table was a multilayered collection of songs that were vulnerable, fun, and served as reminder that there is indeed light despite all of the darkness in this world.
Interview magazine, widely known for their Celebrities interviewing Celebrities format, linked up with Knowles to discuss her background in music, her break from the industry and what led up to A Seat at The Table. This interview was curated and orchestrated by Solange’s sister and best friend, Beyonce.
I really enjoyed this piece because it is extremely rare to see Beyonce and Solange share intimate conversations in the public eye. I also feel like I see the album in a completely different light now and actually appreciate more if that’s even possible.
