Actually, all you really have to do is start incorporating more whole, nutrient dense, and less processed foods in your diet and your body will notice and work with even the most subtle efforts.
Beets are a great detoxifying food. They’re high in betaine which promotes liver function and clearing out toxins and waste in the blood. Now, I’m not saying that
eating beets is cake walk. I, personally, did not muster up the strength to start including them in my diet until adulthood and many of my friends have simply told me that they “taste like dirt.”
Here’s an easy smoothie bowl recipe that will trick your taste buds.
1/2 cup raw, washed, peeled, and chopped beets
2 frozen bananas
1 cup almond milk
Optional: toppings for smoothie bowl. I used banana, strawberries, blackberries, mango, and granola.
