We are continuously blown away by Kayla’s concepts and creative shoots so, the last part of the Yooo Kayla takeover features her top 3 shoots, and the inspiration + teams behind them.
“I love creating concepts that are movie inspired and have a touch of that editorial magazine vogue-ish photo story. I also love creating with new talented individuals who are passionate about their craft because thats what makes the project and vision come alive.” – Yooo Kayla
Castle Vibe Photo Shoot
This shoot is one of Kayla’s most recent collaborations and will be part one of a new series that she is working on. She had already been thinking of doing a medieval/royal editorial shoot, and once she found the location – a castle in Napa Valley – she instantly thought of Tatjana Duenas (@Audolita) as the stylist. For makeup, Tatjana brought inAmy Cotto (@_LovelyyyAims_) and hair stylist, Joy Brinkley (@AllMenJoy) who provided the wig and did the haircut on the female model, Lana Cook (@BookingLana) Tatjana also recommended Dave (@DaveyTheGreat) and it was a go! The location was in Napa Valley and the castle itself was amazing.
Trailer Photo Shoot
This shoot is definitely one of Kayla’s favorite concepts of 2017. Her inspiration for the shoot came from trailer editorial shoots from Vogue Magazine, and 90’s movies like My Girl. First step for the shoot was finding the trailers followed by securing a reliable team. For this shoot, she turned to her talented friend Quentin Ventura (@QuentinVentura) to style Rachel Bussey (@Kushyy_) and Isaiah Lacy (@IsaiahLacyy). For makeup, she went with one of her go to make up artists Thina (@ThinaBeLeAnn) The prep time for the shoot was about a week, but what made it super easy was everyones passion in the vision. The whole team was on the same page which made the concept come to full fruition.
