ILLA: FAVOR EP

R&B singer Illa’s debut EP Favor, flawlessly displays her church roots and Donny Hathaway and Mary J. Blige influences.

Hailing from the historic Fillmore District of San Francisco, R&B singer Illa’s debut EP
Favor, flawlessly displays her church roots and Donny Hathaway and Mary J. Blige influences. Produced entirely by Trackademicks, the 10 track project shows a cohesiveness and aesthetic typically heard from R&B veterans, but these two seems to have found a formula that works. From “Honey, Baby“ to “I Remember”  Illa’s voice effortlessly floats over the smooth Trackademicks production. Running a little over 30 minutes, this is a project made for summer and can be played while you’re pre-gaming for a function or winding down from a long day at work.
