8 THINGS TO DO ON A RAINY BAY AREA DAY

 You are getting ready for a sunny day out and all of a suddent Mother Nature throws a curve ball your way. You look outside, and yes the unpredictable Bay Area whether has struck again and it has started to rain. Don’t let a little rain ruin your afternoon plans. Here are 8 fun activities that will be sure to get you out of the rainy day blues.

1. YOUR VERY OWN FILM FESTIVAL

Invite over some friends, pick a topic or genre, and have your very own film festival. It’ll be a great way to bond with your friends, relax, and keep your mind of the gloomy whether.

2. NETFLIX BINGE

Now maybe you would much rather have a chill rainy day to yourself. My advice? NETFLIX BINGING. Throw on your pj’s, get back into bed, and binge watch shows like The Walking Dead, Breaking Bad, Orange is the New Black, and a whole bunch of other shows that you always here about. But incase you didn’t know, your day will little pass right by you during the binge, so make sure to have an open day dedicating to Netflix.

3. FIND AND TRY OUT NEW RECIPES

Nothing brightens up my day like food! Instead up moping around the house because of the weather, take this time to try that cool recipe you’ve never had time to cook. Better yet, go to www.myfridgefood.com and they will give you recipes based on what you already have in your kitchen.

4. HIDE AND GO SEEK

When was the last time you played hide and go seek? Call your friends over, pour some wine and enjoy being a kid again.

5. PAMPER YOURSELF

Light the candles, set the music, and hop into a warm bubble bath. After that, follow up by giving yourself a much deserved many pedi and spend the rest of the day listening to music and meditating. After a day like this, you will be reset, refreshed, and ready to go

6. THE OAKLAND MUSEUM

The Oakland Museum has some pretty amazing exhibits. Spend your rainy day learning about a large array of topics from bumble bees to the San Diego Comi Con. From April 11th – July 12th 2015, there will be an exhibit entitled ‘Who Is Oakland’ which will take you through the many aspects of Oakland through the work of Oakland artists.

7. CREATE A VISION BOARD

A vision board is a great tool to help you focus on a life goal. By creating a vision board, you will be able to identify your goal, have a daily reminder of what must be done to achieve said goal, and keep your attention focussed on completing the goal.

8. GAME NIGHT

Invite your friends and family over for a rainy day game night. Bring out the classics like Monopoly or Uno, or stick to new school games like Madgab or HeadBanz. Whatever you pick, it’ll be fun to play games and enjoy the company of others.
